There is a bush fire burning in the **Goulburn River National Park in the Merriwa River valley** area.

A grass and bush fire is burning 5km south of Bulahdelah on both sides of the Pacific Highway, north of Myall River Rd. The fire is being pushed in a south westerly direction under north easterly winds.
The alert level for this fire has been downgraded due to easing conditions.

A grass and bush fire burning south of the Sturt Highway near McGeochs South Road in the area of **Borambola** has been contained.
The fire burnt through 629ha of land and is now under control.
